This year, the Yorba Linda Symphony Orchestra has been invited to participate in the Cultural Festival of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games that will feature America's leading youth, college, and community orchestras, such as the Yorba Linda Symphony Orchestra. These groups will join with similar Chinese orchestras for a ten-day program of side-by-side rehearsals, clinics and concerts. Concerts will be staged in Shanghai and Beijing, including a performance in the Forbidden City Concert Hall. This rare honor is one which will highlight the significance of providing classical music to any community.
